🏢 The basics

Company is registered
Registered entity with a company number — sole traders can apply for some grants, but most funders and the BELOC need a company. Business bank account is separate
Personal and business money don't mix. Funders disburse to business accounts; our valuation model reads business transactions. You exist online
A working website and an active company profile. Assessors and underwriters both google you — make sure they find you.

Trading businesses: real accounts. Pre-revenue: honest, monthly projections. "We'll figure it out" scores zero everywhere. Cash-flow forecast, 12–24 months

Who has the problem, how many of them, what it costs. Numbers, not adjectives. Impact you can measure
Jobs created, carbon cut, patients helped, revenue grown — pick the metrics your funder cares about and baseline them now. Milestone plan for the money
Exactly what the funding buys, milestone by milestone. Funders fund plans, not hopes.

Signed contracts, POs or LOIs collected
Signed demand is the strongest evidence there is — for assessors and for your credit limit. IP identified and protected
Code, patents, trademarks, data, processes. If you can't list your IP, nobody can value it. You know your customer retention
Repeat rate, churn, or renewal rate. A customer base that stays is an asset; one that leaks is a cost.
